Patch 2.165.0: Cruise control, the green game UI, the RON shop and player-reported fixes

Changes from 15 October (automatic) (15 October 2026).

Released 15 October 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.

Changes

  • New: Cruise control: press Y or type /cruise while driving a car or motorbike at 20 mph or more to hold the posted speed limit minus 2 mph. It follows the limit as the road changes and switches off when you brake, pull the handbrake or drop under 12 mph. You can change the key in the keybinds panel.

  • New: Game UI: menus, buttons, headers and the login and character screens now use the green PlexaRP look from the website and the UCP, with the Archivo font and the neon Frame logo.

  • New: Air units: the helicopter camera has been reworked with an agency header, locking on to people as well as vehicles, a tannoy menu and a searchlight beam everyone can see. Crews get /helilight, /helisiren and /tannoy, keybinds for the siren, the tannoy menu and the beam width, recorded loudspeaker lines and an emergency audio volume slider.

  • New: Ambient performers: staff can place performer characters with /performer or in the World Editor. They loop animations from /emotes, wear set outfits and show a nametag.

  • New: RON in Paleto Bay: the RON station now has its own RON shop at the counter inside the building, marked with a white circle. Fuel stations made in game now always get a shop of their own too.

  • New: Driving tests: staff can place the car and truck test course checkpoints in the World Editor, so a course can be set up in Paleto Bay. A renamed checkpoint uses its new name as the driving instruction, and switched off checkpoints are skipped.

  • New: Trucking: stop your truck on a weigh station and press E to get it weighed. It no longer has to go through the interaction menu.

  • Fixed: Trucking: the Route 68 weigh station moved from the airfield to a pull-off beside Route 68.

  • Balance: Insurance: claims now take a twelfth of the time they used to, between 1 and 6 hours depending on the insurer. Claims already being processed were cut to at most 6 hours from when they were filed.

  • Fixed: Insurance: a claim now finishes when its timer runs out instead of an hour early.

  • Balance: Car dealers: ordered cars are ready in 10 to 30 minutes instead of up to 3 hours. Bikes take 10 minutes, cars 15, SUVs 20, vans and luxury cars 25 and trucks 30. Orders from the PlexaRP Launcher use the same times.

  • Balance: Car parts: sport and race parts now wear at the same rate as stock parts instead of up to almost twice as fast.

  • Balance: Car parts: an upgraded part gives its full power
